Making Payments

All Annual Tax and Interest Statements for 2015 will be mailed by January 31, 2016. You may also access your 1098 information by registering at mychifaccount.org.

Web Access for Borrower Accounts

Borrowers can check their account information and make payments online by going to mychifaccount.org. Click here for frequently asked questions about logging into your account.

Acceptable Payment Methods

Online payments may be made using the links above. Otherwise, CHIF accepts payments by personal check or money order. Payments may be mailed or dropped off at CHIF; for payment addresses, please click here. Borrowers may also arrange to have payments automatically deducted from their checking account; click here for information about Automatic Payment Drafting. Acceptable forms of payment for accounts being paid in full are: a certified bank check, money order, attorney’s check or check from another lender, i.e., credit union or mortgage company. 

Coupon Booklets

CHIF sends coupon books to the Borrower annually. A lost or misplaced coupon book can be replaced by calling (800) 992-3665 or write to CHIF at 121 Tremont Street, Hartford, CT 06105. A $10.00 fee will be charged for a replacement book, or you may print and fill out the temporary coupon form below.

Automatic Payment Drafting

Borrowers may authorize the automatic withdrawal of monthly payments from their checking account by printing and completing the ACH (automatic checking) form below. This is a safe, convenient, cost-saving option to use in making monthly payments. 

Change of Address

Change of Address forms are located in the coupon book or you may write your change of address information on a plain piece of paper and enclose it with your payment.

Problems Making Payments

If you are having difficulty making your loan payments on time, we encourage you to talk with us. It’s easier to work out the situation rather than letting it build up. Our loss mitigation staff can assist you when you are having difficulty making your loan payments. They can be reached at (800) 992-3665 or (860) 233-5165, or via email at .

Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you would like to meet with a loss mitigation staff member in person to discuss your loan, please call ahead of time to make an appointment.
