About this home

Classic 1939 Bungalow for Rent in Historic Cocoanut, Minutes from Downtown Sarasota! Full of character and lovingly renovated in keeping with its 1930s roots, this 2-bedroom, 1-bath home offers 1,380 square feet on an 8,713 sq ft lot in one of Sarasota’s most charming historic neighborhoods.
Original hardwood floors run through the main living spaces, and large windows fill each room with natural light. The spacious living room has a striking blue accent wall and opens through a classic columned archway with decorative brackets into the dining area and kitchen. That gives the home a wonderful sense of flow while keeping its vintage character.
The eat-in kitchen features solid wood cabinetry, plenty of counter space, and stainless steel appliances. Nearby, the laundry area is a real showpiece, with an arched stained-glass window and built-in shelving. Washer, dryer, and refrigerator are included.
The updated bathroom is a standout, with a tiled walk-in shower, a white vanity, and bold star-pattern tile floors. A bright enclosed sunporch lined with windows makes a perfect reading nook, home office, or plant room. Both bedrooms are generously sized, and the primary bedroom is on the main level.
Outside, the fenced backyard is a private retreat with paver patios, mature shade trees, and a covered pergola that’s ideal for grilling and entertaining. A detached garage and a carport provide plenty of parking. Central heat and air keep you comfortable year-round.
